Amitriptyline Drug Interactions

A few of the drugs that amitriptyline can potentially interact with include barbiturates, MAOIs, thyroid medications, and cisapride. Amitriptyline drug interactions can increase your risk of developing dangerous side effects, cause heart arrhythmias, or lead to thoughts of suicide, among other things. Therefore, you should be sure to talk with your healthcare provider about any drug interactions with amitriptyline that may apply to you.
