Celexa
® (
citalopram hydrobromide) is a prescription medication used to treat
depression (also known as major depression or clinical depression).
The drug comes in tablet and liquid form. It is taken by mouth, usually once a day. Celexa tablets are available in three strengths:
The liquid form of the medication is available in one strength -- Celexa Oral Solution 10 mg per 5 mL (equal to 10 mg per teaspoonful).
Although most people tolerate Celexa tablets and liquid well, the medication is not suitable for everyone.
