Celexa® (citalopram hydrobromide) is a medication often prescribed for the treatment of depression. It is a type of SSRI antidepressant that works by balancing serotonin levels in the brain. Studies show that Celexa is effective in improving symptoms of depression and in reducing the chances of a relapse. The tablet form is available in three different strengths, and the liquid form comes in one strength.
