Who Should Not Take Cymbalta?

You should not take Cymbalta if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Cymbalta, duloxetine hydrochloride, or any of the inactive components used to make Cymbalta. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients used to make Cymbalta.
     
  • Have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) within the past two weeks. Also, you should not take an MAOI if you have taken Cymbalta within the five days. MAOIs include:
  • Have uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma (a condition of the eye).
