Cymbalta® (duloxetine hydrochloride) is a medication licensed to treat depression, fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain, and generalized anxiety disorder. This prescription medication is a type of serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI), and it works by affecting certain chemicals in the brain (serotonin and norepinephrine). Cymbalta comes in capsule form and is typically taken once or twice a day. A few of the common side effects seen with the drug include dizziness, drowsiness, and nausea.
