Deplin® is a prescription vitamin used in combination with antidepressant or antipsychotic medications. This supplement has been shown to increase the effectiveness of these medications by increasing folate levels in people with depression and reducing homocysteine levels in people with schizophrenia. This product comes in the form of a tablet and is taken once a day. Possible side effects include gas, nausea, and decreased appetite.
