Aplenzin
TM (
bupropion hydrobromide) is available only by prescription and is approved for treating
depression in adults. This drug is not appropriate for everyone; your healthcare provider needs complete information on your medical history and what medications you are taking before prescribing Aplenzin.
Although many people do not have any problems while taking this
antidepressant, Aplenzin can cause side effects, such as
insomnia, nausea, and
constipation. If negative reactions do occur, they tend to be mild and easily treated.
Aplenzin comes in the form of long-acting tablets and is only taken once daily in the morning. Do not crush, chew, or dissolve the tablets, as this will cause the medicine to be released too quickly.
