Fetzima Medication Information

FetzimaTM (levomilnacipran) is a prescription medication approved to treat major depressive disorder, also known as major depression or clinical depression. It works by increasing the levels of certain brain chemicals called serotonin and norepinephrine. This medicine is only approved for use in adults age 18 and older.
 
Although most people do not have any problems while taking this medication, Fetzima is not suitable for everyone. Information on your medical history and any other drugs you are taking should be discussed with your healthcare provider prior to beginning treatment, as drug interactions are possible and this product may not be appropriate for people with certain medical conditions.
 
This drug comes in the form of a capsule that is taken once daily. Side effects are possible and include nausea, constipation, and excessive sweating.
