Forfivo
TM XL (
bupropion XL) is prescribed in the treatment of
depression in adults. This medication is the only high-dose, once-a-day
bupropion product available. It comes as a tablet that is taken once a day, preferably in the morning, because it may cause
insomnia if taken later in the day.
Prior to prescribing this medicine, your healthcare provider needs a complete list of any other drugs you are taking, including prescription and nonprescription products, vitamins, and supplements, and a detailed medical history. Forfivo XL is not appropriate for everyone, and providing this information helps ensure that the right medication is used in your situation.
For example, people who have
epilepsy,
diabetes, or
heart disease may not be able to take Forfivo XL. In addition, let your healthcare provider know if have certain
allergies or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
