Imipramine Pamoate (Tofranil PM)

Adults with depression (also known as major depression or clinical depression) may benefit from treatment with a drug called imipramine pamoate (Tofranil PM®). This prescription medication belongs to a class of drugs known as atypical antidepressants. Although this product is licensed to treat depression, it is occasionally used "off-label" -- that is, for an unapproved use.
