 Depression? Major depresion is a common misspelling and variation of depression.
 
Despite what people may think, depression is not a passing phase or something that can be willed away. Major depression is an illness affecting a person's body, mood, and thoughts. Common symptoms include irritability, feelings of guilt and helplessness, and persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment. Major depression is often treated with medications, psychotherapy, or a combination of the two.
