Pexeva Medication Information

Available only by prescription, Pexeva® (paroxetine mesylate) is a medication approved to treat the following conditions:
 
Pexeva comes in the form of a tablet and is usually taken once a day. Keep in mind that it may take several weeks for the drug to start working, and a few months for the full benefits to be felt.
 
Not everyone can use this antidepressant, so review the safety information for Pexeva with your healthcare provider before starting treatment. For example, this medication may not be right for you if you have certain medical conditions, such as bipolar disorder, kidney disease, or low blood sodium. Although most people do not experience problems while using this drug, Pexeva can cause side effects. Some of the common ones include nausea, drowsiness, and dry mouth.
