Effexor 75 mg Tablets
Effexor® (venlafaxine hydrochloride) is an antidepressant licensed to treat depression in adults. It comes in tablet form and is available by prescription only. The medication is available in various strengths, including:
- Effexor 25 mg tablets
- Effexor 37.5 mg tablets
- Effexor 50 mg tablets
- Effexor 75 mg tablets
- Effexor 100 mg tablets.
The usual starting Effexor dosage for the treatment of depression is 75 mg total per day, divided up into two or three smaller doses. If you experience any side effects, your healthcare provider may decrease your dose as needed. He or she may also choose to increase your dose if your depression symptoms do not improve.
For most people, the highest recommended dose is 225 mg total per day, which can be taken as three Effexor 75 mg tablets. Some people may need to take as much as Effexor 375 mg per day.
