Effexor and Fibromyalgia Studies

Recent studies have suggested that Effexor may be effective at treating fibromyalgia. A few small studies have shown that Effexor can help provide fibromyalgia relief, especially pain relief. In these studies, Effexor also decreased disability due to fibromyalgia. People taking Effexor for fibromyalgia also showed improvement in anxiety or depression symptoms.

More research is needed to confirm that Effexor is safe and effective for fibromyalgia treatment. It is important to remember that Effexor is not approved for the treatment of fibromyalgia, and the full risks of Effexor for this use are not known. However, studies involving Effexor and fibromyalgia are encouraging, suggesting that the medication may indeed be an effective treatment for this painful condition.
