IsocarboxazidIsocarboxazid, a prescription medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), is approved to treat depression. The medication has many potentially lethal drug and food interactions and is often used as a last resort when other antidepressants have failed. This drug comes in the form of a tablet that is taken by mouth, usually two to four times a day.
