Some people experience side effects while on Lexapro
® (
escitalopram oxalate). A few common side effects of this drug include fatigue,
diarrhea, nausea, and a dry mouth. While some Lexapro side effects may go away as your body adjusts to the medicine, others are less likely to subside. Some more serious but less common side effects with Lexapro include hostility or aggressiveness;
anxiety, agitation, or
panic attacks; and other unusual changes in behavior. If you experience these or other serious side effects, you should report them to your healthcare provider. Among the rare side effects of Lexapro are anemia, shakiness,
hemorrhoids, and nose bleed. If you experience any Lexapro side effects, or anything that "just does not seem right," be sure to let your healthcare provider know.
