Ludiomil^® (maprotiline hydrochloride) is a prescription medication that has been licensed as a depression treatment. Ludiomil is part of a class of medicines known as tricyclic antidepressants.

 

Brand-name Ludiomil is no longer being made. This is common among older medications, especially medications that are no longer used as much. However, generic Ludiomil is still available.

Who Makes Generic Ludiomil?

Currently, generic Ludiomil is made by one company -- Mylan Pharmaceuticals. Because the patent for Ludiomil is expired, it is possible that other companies may decide to make generic Ludiomil in the future, although this is not likely since Ludiomil is no longer commonly used.
