Ludiomil® (maprotiline hydrochloride) is licensed to treat depression, as well as anxiety associated with depression. Although it is not entirely clear how Ludiomil works, it is thought to affect certain chemicals in the brain, including serotonin and norepinephrine. This prescription medication is available as a tablet and is typically taken one to four times a day. Seek medical attention immediately if you happen to overdose on Ludiomil. Symptoms of an overdose include vomiting, seizures, and a rapid heart rate.
