Depression Home > Information on Paxil CR

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Paxil CR® (paroxetine controlled release) for the treatment of a number of conditions, including:
This product comes in the form of an extended-release tablet that only needs to be taken once a day in most cases. Because it has not been adequately studied in children, Paxil CR is only approved for use in adults at this time. Headaches, ejaculation problems, and nausea are some of the common side effects.
In order to determine if Paxil CR is the right medication for you, your healthcare provider needs information on your complete medical history and any other medicines you are taking -- including nonprescription products, vitamins, and supplements. This drug is not right for everyone, and it can react negatively with certain medications.
