Nardil Side Effects

Serious Nardil Side Effects

Some side effects of Nardil, while not as common, are potentially serious and should be reported to your healthcare provider right away. These include but are not limited to:
 
  • Dangerously high blood pressure (called a hypertensive crisis). Signs of a hypertensive crisis include:
 
    • Headaches
    • Feelings of a rapidly or forcefully beating heart (palpitations)
    • Sore or stiff neck
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Sweating with a high fever (or sometimes with cold, clammy skin)
    • Sensitivity to light
    • Rapid heart rate (tachycardia) or low heart rate (bradycardia)
    • Chest pain or throat tightness
    • Dilated (wide open) pupils.
 
  • Low blood pressure (hypotension). Signs of low blood pressure include:
 
    • Dizziness
    • Lightheadedness
    • Fainting.
 
  • Hepatitis (liver damage). Signs of hepatitis include:
 
    • Yellow eyes or skin
    • Upper-right abdominal pain (near the liver)
    • Dark urine
    • Digestive problems.
 
  • Confusion, delusions, or hallucinations
 
 
  • Hostility or aggressiveness
 
  • Engaging in unusual or dangerous activities
 
  • Restlessness or inability to sit still
 
  • Extreme elation or feeling of happiness that may switch back and forth with a depressed or sad mood
 
  • Other unusual changes in behavior
 
 
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, including:
 
    • Unexplained rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Unexplained swelling
    • Wheezing
    • Difficulty breathing or swallowing.
