Nortriptyline 10 Mg Capsules

Different strengths of nortriptyline hydrochloride (Pamelor®) are available. The exact dose your healthcare provider recommends will depend on factors such as your age and if you are taking any other medications (including vitamins and herbal supplements). When used to treat major depression in adults, the usual starting dosage of these capsules is nortriptyline 25 mg three or four times per day.

However, teenagers or elderly people will likely start with a lower amount: 30 mg to 50 mg total per day. This can be taken as a single dose, once a day, or split into smaller doses of nortriptyline 10 mg, taken throughout the day.

Regardless of the amount your healthcare provider prescribes, you should follow dosing instructions carefully. Do not skip doses, take more than the recommended amount, or change your dose without your healthcare provider's approval and supervision.
