Many people who are using
nortriptyline hydrochloride (
Pamelor®) to treat their
depression find the medication to be effective at relieving their symptoms. It is also generally well tolerated, with side effects -- if they even occur -- tending to be mild and easily treated. However, in some cases, the medicine does not work as well as hoped or it causes intolerable side effects. If this happens, a substitute for nortriptyline needs to be considered.
