Precautions and Warnings With Nortriptyline

There are a number of precautions and warnings with nortriptyline, such as an increased risk of suicidal thoughts or behavior, the risk that the drug will affect your concentration, and the possible risks involved with taking the medicine during pregnancy. Be sure to tell your healthcare provider about any medical conditions you may have and any medications you may currently be taking. There are also several situations where you should not take nortriptyline at all.

  • Drink alcohol regularly.
     
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all of the medicines you take, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
