Generic Pamelor

Generic Pamelor is currently available in four strengths: 10 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg, and 75 mg capsules. There is also a generic version of liquid Pamelor available. The FDA has assigned generic Pamelor an "AB" rating, meaning the generic version of the drug should be equivalent to the brand-name medication. However, generic medications are allowed to have different inactive ingredients, such as fillers or dyes, which can cause problems for people with allergies.

Generic Pamelor: An Overview

Pamelor® (nortriptyline hydrochloride) is a prescription medication that has been licensed as a depression treatment. Pamelor is part of a class of medicines known as tricyclic antidepressants.
 
Brand-name Pamelor is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. However, it has since come off patent and is available as a generic.
