Pristiq® (desvenlafaxine succinate) is a drug approved for treating major depression. This medication is not appropriate for everyone. For example, it is currently not approved for use in teenagers or children. Pristiq may also be unsuitable for people with bipolar disorder or certain people with heart disease.
