Pristiq for Children

Pristiq® (desvenlafaxine succinate) is a drug approved for treating major depression. This medication is not appropriate for everyone. For example, it is currently not approved for use in teenagers or children. Pristiq may also be unsuitable for people with bipolar disorder or certain people with heart disease. To help ensure your safety, your healthcare provider will need to know your complete medical history and what medicines you are taking before prescribing it.
