Problems With Pristiq

As with many other medications,
Pristiq® (desvenlafaxine succinate) can cause problems. Some of the most common problems associated with this drug include:

  • Nausea
  • Dizziness
  • Dry mouth
  • Diarrhea
  • Increased sweating.

If side effects do occur, they tend to be minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. However, Pristiq can also cause some potentially serious problems that require immediate medical attention. Contact your healthcare provider if you experience side effects such as hallucinations, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or suicidal thoughts.
