Prozac Drug Side Effects

As with many other medications,
 Prozac® (fluoxetine hydrochloride) can cause side effects. Some of the most common side effects of Prozac include:
 
If drug side effects with Prozac do occur, they tend to be minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider. However, there are some potentially serious side effects that require immediate medical attention. Contact your healthcare provider if you experience side effects such as hallucinations, suicidal thoughts, or a fast heart rate.
 
Other Prozac warnings and precautions apply to women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as well as people who have certain allergies (including allergies to foods, dyes, or preservatives). Also, you may not be able to take Prozac if you have certain medical conditions, such as bipolar disorder, diabetes, or epilepsy.
