Prozac Medicine for OCD

 Prozac^® (fluoxetine hydrochloride) is a prescription drug approved for the treatment of numerous conditions within the brain. While healthcare providers often treat depression with this medicine, Prozac can also be used for OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder).

 

This medicine belongs to a class of antidepressants known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. It works by balancing the levels of serotonin (a certain chemical) in the brain.
