Off-Label Prozac Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend Prozac for treating something other than the conditions listed above. This is called an "off-label" use. At this time, there are several off-label Prozac uses, including the treatment of the following conditions:

Alcoholism
Anorexia
Anxiety
Autism
Fibromyalgia
Hot flashes
Orthostatic hypotension
Personality disorders
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Tourette syndrome
Obesity
Premature ejaculation (see Fluoxetine and Premature Ejaculation)
Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) (although Prozac is not approved for PMDD, Sarafem^®, which contains the exact same medication as Prozac, is approved for this use)
Social anxiety disorder.
