Remeron Side Effects
Rare Side Effects
Rare side effects occur in less than 1 percent of people taking Remeron. Because these side effects are so uncommon, it is difficult to tell whether they are because of the medication or something else.
Some of these rare side effects seen with Remeron include but are not limited to:
- Sensitivity to the sun
- Migraine headaches
- Canker sores
- Hypothyroidism (low thyroid)
- Weight loss
- Urinary tract infections (bladder infections)
- Hair loss
- Sexual side effects, such as changes in sex drive, impotence (erectile dysfunction or ED), or ejaculation problems (see Remeron Sexual Side Effects).
Final Thoughts on Remeron Side EffectsYou may experience some or none of the side effects listed in this article. Unfortunately, there is no way for your healthcare provider to know beforehand if you will have side effects from a medicine that you have never tried. Therefore, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you develop any side effects while taking the medication. Also, let your healthcare provider know if you develop something that "just does not seem right." While it may not be a side effect of Remeron, he or she will be able to diagnose and treat the problem.
