Remeron Warnings and Precautions

You should not take Remeron if you:

 

• Are allergic to it, to mirtazapine, or to any of the inactive components used to make the drug. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
   
• Have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) in the past two weeks. MAOIs include:
   
  • Isocarboxazid (Marplan^®)
  • Phenelzine (Nardil^®)
  • Rasagiline (Azilect^®)
  • Selegiline (Eldepryl^®, Emsam^®, Zelapar^®)
  • Tranylcypromine (Parnate^®).
