Remeron® (mirtazapine) is a medication licensed to treat the symptoms of depression. Although it is not known how exactly Remeron works, it is believed that it affects certain brain chemicals, including serotonin and norepinephrine. The Remeron dosage your healthcare provider recommends will be based on several factors, such as your age, other existing medical conditions you have, and other medications you are taking. Possible side effects of Remeron include weight gain, drowsiness, and dizziness.
