Trazodone is a prescription medication that is used for the treatment of depression in adults. By balancing serotonin levels in the brain and blocking certain serotonin receptors, the drug has been shown to significantly improve symptoms of depression. Trazodone comes in tablet form and is generally taken one to three times a day. Headache, drowsiness, and dizziness are some of the common side effects that have been reported by people taking it.
