Trazodone is a prescription medication that is approved for treating depression. Besides balancing serotonin levels in the brain, the medicine also blocks certain serotonin receptors. Although brand-name trazodone is no longer being manufactured, it is still available in generic form. Potential side effects of the drug may include fatigue, nausea, blurred vision, and dizziness.
