Trazodon

If you have depression, a healthcare provider may prescribe trazodone hydrochloride (Desyrel®). Although it is not exactly known how trazodone works, it is believed to work by affecting certain brain chemicals, including serotonin. Before your healthcare provider prescribes trazodone, he or she will consider several factors, including your age, other medical conditions you have, and other medications you may be taking.
