Trazodone? Triazadone is a common misspelling of trazodone.
Trazodone hydrochloride (Desyrel®) is a prescription drug that is used to treat depression. It is not exactly known how this medication works, but it is thought that it works by balancing serotonin levels in the brain and by blocking certain serotonin receptors. Although most people tolerate trazodone well, this medication is not suitable for everyone. A few of the conditions you should let your healthcare provider know about before taking the medication include bipolar disorder, heart disease, or a history of suicide attempts or suicidal thoughts.
