Viibryd Drug Interactions

Diuretics
Viibryd can cause low blood sodium levels (hyponatremia). Taking it with a diuretic may increase your risk for this side effect. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking these drugs together. In addition, combining Viibryd with torsemide may increase the level of torsemide in your blood, potentially increasing your risk for side effects. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking these drugs together.
 
Fentanyl
Taking Viibryd with fentanyl can cause a group of symptoms called serotonin syndrome. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking these medications together. Call your healthcare provider right away if you have any of these symptoms, as serotonin syndrome can be very dangerous.
 
Intravenous Methylene Blue
Taking Viibryd with intravenous methylene blue can increase your chance of developing dangerous side effects, including serotonin syndrome. Do not take these medications together.
 
Lithium
Taking Viibryd with lithium may increase your risk for a serious reaction called serotonin syndrome. Although this reaction is quite rare, it can be dangerous. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking these medications together. Also, seek immediate medical care if you develop any symptoms of serotonin syndrome (see Viibryd Warnings and Precautions).
 
Linezolid
Taking Viibryd with linezolid may increase your risk for a serious and potentially dangerous reaction called serotonin syndrome.
