Wellbutrin® (bupropion hydrochloride) is a prescription drug licensed for the treatment of depression. It comes in tablet form and is generally taken two to four times per day. Wellbutrin works by balancing dopamine and norepinephrine levels in the brain, which can help improve symptoms of depression. Common side effects that have been reported with the drug include dizziness, loss of appetite, insomnia, and shakiness.
