Wellbutrin Side Effects to Report
There are a number of possible side effects of
Wellbutrin that you should report to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
- Seizures (see Wellbutrin Seizures)
- Suicidal thoughts or behavior (see Wellbutrin and Suicide)
- Anxiety, agitation, or panic attacks
- Hostility or aggressiveness
- Engaging in unusual or dangerous activities
- Restlessness or inability to sit still
- Extreme elation or feelings of happiness that may switch back and forth with a depressed or sad mood
- Other unusual changes in behavior
- Hallucinations
- A fast heart rate
- Chest palpitations
- Difficulty sleeping
- Feelings of internal jitteriness or restlessness
- Signs of an allergic reaction, including an unexplained rash, hives, itching, unexplained swelling, wheezing, or difficulty breathing or swallowing.
Rare Wellbutrin Side Effects
There are other possible problems that can occur in people taking Wellbutrin. These rare side effects occur in less than 1 percent of people who take the medication. It is difficult to tell whether these side effects are because of the medication or something else.
Some of these rare Wellbutrin side effects include but are not limited to:
- Hair loss (see Wellbutrin and Hair Loss)
- Acne
- Ulcers
- Mood swings
- Canker sores
- Bronchitis
- High blood sugar (hyperglycemia) or low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
- Memory loss
- Flushing (redness of the skin, especially in the face)
- Bladder infections.
