Wellbutrin for Use in Children

Wellbutrin is not approved for use in children with depression. Talk with your healthcare provider about the risks and benefits of using Wellbutrin in children with depression.
 

Off-Label Wellbutrin Uses

On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend Wellbutrin for something other than depression. This is called an "off-label" use. At this time, there are several off-label Wellbutrin uses, including:
 
  • Treating attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Treating seasonal affective disorder (SAD)
  • Helping with smoking cessation (see Wellbutrin to Quit Smoking).
