Wellbutrin® (bupropion hydrochloride) is a medication that is often prescribed to treat depression. It works by balancing dopamine and norepinephrine levels in the brain, which become unbalanced in a person with depression. Wellbutrin comes in tablet form and is available by prescription only. Potential side effects of the medication include dry mouth, insomnia, and agitation.
