Wellbutrin® (bupropion hydrochloride) is an antidepressant that is available by prescription. By balancing dopamine and norepinephrine levels in the brain, the medication can help treat symptoms of depression. Wellbutrin tablets, which are available in two different strengths, are generally taken two to four times a day. Most people have no problems with the drug, but potential side effects include loss of appetite, insomnia, and dry mouth.
