What Time to Take Zoloft

Many people may wonder what time to take
Zoloft® (sertraline hydrochloride). The medication is typically taken once a day, but you can take it at any time. However, if Zoloft makes you drowsy, try taking it before bedtime. If the medication causes insomnia, try taking it in the morning. No matter what time you take it, try to take Zoloft at the same time each day to maintain an even level in your blood.

You can take Zoloft with or without food. If the medication bothers your stomach, try taking it with food. For Zoloft to work properly, you must take it as prescribed. Abruptly stopping the drug can result in withdrawal symptoms.
