When medications such as cimetidine or barbiturates are taken together with Ludiomil, drug interactions may occur. While some interactions can result in increased Ludiomil levels in your blood, others may cause side effects such as suicidal thoughts or a dangerous arrhythmia called QT prolongation. Other medicines that can lead to potential Ludiomil drug interactions include pressors, arrhythmia medications, anticholinergic medications, and SSRI antidepressants.

Ludiomil Drug Interactions: An Introduction

Ludiomil® (maprotiline hydrochloride) can potentially interact with many medicines. Some of the medicines that may lead to Ludiomil interactions include:

  • Phenothiazine medications, including:
  • Pressors, including:
    • Dopamine (Intropin®)
    • Dobutamine (Dobutrex®)
    • Epinephrine (Adrenalin®, EpiPen®)
    • Norepinephrine (Levophed®)
  • Thyroid medications, including:
